Ready for debate with Tammineni over Central funds to AP: Somu Veerraju

Responding to the criticism of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, BJP state president Somu Veerraju has expressed anger over him for making allegations against the BJP-led NDA government. Speaking to the media after visiting Meghadri Gedda reservoir in Visakhapatnam district on Saturday, he threw a challenge to Tammineni inviting him for a debate over allocation of Central funds to the state.

Veerraju has mentioned that the Modi government sanctioned funds for laying national highways and panchayats. He alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had sold a power plant in Nellore district to Adani Group.

The BJP chief flayed the Speaker for not knowing about privatisation. “APSRTC had hired 13,000 private buses to meet the needs of passengers,” he stated. He further said that the AP government is ready to sell defunct sugar factories for private organisations. MLC Madhav, former BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana and other BJP leaders were present.
