Repair city roads on priority: KTR tells GHMC

Hyderabad, Sept.18: Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today directed the GHMC officials to take up road repair works in the twin cities on a priority basis. Interacting with media persons here on Sunday, the minister said the civic staff should plunge into work immediately to repair all the roads that are in bad condition at various places. “We need to complete the road works on a war-footing and ensure smooth movement of the vehicles in the twin cities”, the minister stated. He also appreciated Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiyuddin, Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and other officials for making better arrangements for smooth completion of Ganesh immersion festivities in the twin cities. “Though we take up many good works of development, the people will not be happy at the bad roads”, he pointed out. He asked the GHMC to take immediate action and repair all the roads. His remarks assume significance as the twin cities roads have turned worse from bad with debris piled up at various places due to Ganesh festivities.
