Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made interesting comments about not being deeply involved in the politics of Khammam District, citing the strong determination and spirit of its people. He mentioned that the people of Khammam would go to any lengths for what they believe in, which is why he maintains a careful distance in local politics. These remarks were made during the Congress Janajatara Sabha held in Khammam on Saturday, where he also praised the district's people and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.

Describing the unified district of Khammam as a model of struggle and enthusiasm for the rest of Telangana, he humorously remarked to his friend Bhatti Vikramarka, "You can argue with anyone, but not with the people of Khammam. They will fight to the end for their cause." He emphasized his approach to engage from a distance to respect their fierce independence.

He recalled a statement made by leaders in Delhi during Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure as Chief Minister, which recognized that while there could be chief ministers in every other district, every activist in Khammam is like a chief minister themselves, leading and fighting for their rights independently. This respect for their autonomy was advised to be upheld.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lauded the historical significance of Khammam, mentioning its roots in the 1969 Telangana movement starting from Palvancha. He praised the district's contributions, led by individuals like Ravindranath, and their continued fight for farmers' and workers' rights which he claimed laid the foundation for the formation of Telangana.

In praising Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Reddy highlighted his effective management of state funds amidst a debt of Rs. 7 lakh crore purportedly left by KCR, and his reliable disbursement of salaries to all categories of employees on the first of every month.
