Jaitley again stalls SCS for AP smartly

Following the repeated adjournments of the Lok Sabha on Tuesday over the demand of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, Finance Minister rushed to the House and assured the members that the problems of Andhra Pradesh were being dealt with. Jaitley said he had talked to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. He would continue to talk with him on the issue. He said everything in the Reorganisation Act would be implemented. (The same promised he had made in the Rajya Sabha also). But it would take time. Dissatisfied Galla Jayadev (TDP) pointed out that 2 years had passed, and nothing special had come out from the Centre. Jaitley said the matter was being discussed with the Chief Minister. He said the government had realized the members' anguish over the SCS. He put the ball back in the Chief Minister's court. The trick was played by the Congress regime. Between the Bill and the Act, the Congress deleted the Special Category Status. Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu pointed this out clearly during one of his interventions.
