Govt to set up medical college in Palamur

Giving a fillip to medical education in Telangana, the State government is constructing a Medical College in Mahbubnagar district. Health & Medical Education Minister Dr C. Lakshma Reddy on Saturday directed his department officials to develop the medical college as a role model to other colleges with all the latest facilities. At a meeting in Hyderabad, he saw a model and design of the medical colleges and made some suggestions for the blueprint. The medical college building should be built in such a way that it should provide ample space to various departments, better facilities to all and improved accommodation to medical students. The latest changes should be made with a focus on quality of work without any delay. Once the changes are made to the existing design, it will be taken to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for approval. KCR may also make some changes in the design, layout of the new medical college building, he added.
