Businessmen MPs don't fight for AP status, says Shivaji

Tollywood actor Shivaji on Wednesday asserted that it was because of sending businessmen as MPs from Andhra Pradesh that the Special Category Status accorded in the AP Reorganisation Act was not being enacted. The businessmen MPs were not bothered since it was the bother of the people of the State. Reacting to Minister of State for Home Jayant Sinha making it clear in Parliament that the SCS was not possible for AP, Shivaji said it was high time that the political parties reacted to the lack of the status for AP. They also should not send businessmen as MPs, as they were not fighting for the State's cause. He wanted to know the answer of the BJP leaders from the State to the denial of the SCS to AP when the party had put it in its manifesto. Shivaji urged the ruling TDP to come out of the alliance with the BJP and added resignations were the only way to achieve the Special Category Status.
