Young couple commits `selfie' suicide
A young couple from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu checked in to a guest house on the Tirumala only to hang themselves by the ceiling fan on Monday. The TTD staff and the police had to break open the guest house door to see the couple hanging by the fan. Whether they have left any suicide note is not known, but they made merry with selfies and video while resorting to the extreme act. They in fact said in the video that they were going to commit suicide. The selfie shows a desire for good living. But in the case of the Coimbatore couple, Sampat Kumar and Satyavani, it was the final act of their lives. The police sent the bodies to hospital for a post-mortem examination.
