TRS to buy Rs 80-crore special flight to KCR for nationwide tour

Hyderabad, September 30: As TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is getting ready to announce the name of his national political party on the day of Dasara festival (October 5), the TRS leadership is reportedly taken a decision on Thursday to place an order for a 12-seater special chartered flight by spending Rs 80 crore on the same day of launching political outfit by KCR.
 
The flight will be extensively used by the TRS chief for nationwide tour to expose faulty policies of the BJP-led NDA government ahead of general elections to be held in 2024. It was decided to buy the plane with donations instead of using party fund which stands at Rs 865 crore. 
 
Currently, KCR is hiring flights from private firms for visiting various states. The TRS arrived at a decision that having own plane is necessary in the wake of setting up a new national party.
