Kishan Reddy announces Rs 15 crore grant for restoration of 1,000 Pillar temple

Hanamkonda, April 26: Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development of North East G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday visited Thousand Pillar Temple here and offered special prayers. He held a review meeting with officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for taking up reconstruction and conservation works of the 'Kalyana Mandapam’ in Thousand Pillar Temple.
 
After the meeting, Kishan Reddy announced that he sanctioned Rs 15 crore for the restoration of the Thousand Pillar Temple. “I will ensure that the works of Thousand Pillar Temple are taken up on war-footing basis. The Centre is ready to spend Rs 50 crore for the development of Ramappa Temple,” he stated.
 
The union minister also assured of providing better amenities for devotees visiting Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam. Earlier, Kishan Reddy and Huzurabad BJP MLA Eatala Rajendar have visited Bhadrakali temple and sought blessings of deity. The local BJP leaders were also present.
