Sourav Ganguly Declines to Join Teachers’ Protest Over WBSSC Scam

The Supreme Court of India has issued significant directives in connection with the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) recruitment scam case. Following the recent cancellation of appointments, the apex court has granted temporary relief to teachers who lost their jobs despite having no proven wrongdoing. The court clarified that these individuals may continue in their roles until a new recruitment process is completed. However, it emphasized that this relief is subject to certain conditions.

Meanwhile, some of the affected teachers visited former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly at his residence in Kolkata. They invited him to participate in a protest they plan to hold on April 21 at the West Bengal Secretariat. Ganguly politely declined the invitation. According to reports, he made it clear that he should not be dragged into political matters and stated that the issue was not related to him in any way.
