NTR Vaidya Seva Trust Services to Resume as Usual from Today

Medical services under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust will resume as usual in Andhra Pradesh starting today. This follows a recent announcement by the Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospitals Association (ASHA) that services would be halted from Monday.
In response, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held an emergency meeting with representatives from ASHA. During the meeting, ASHA leaders informed the Chief Minister that ₹3,500 crore in dues were pending and outlined the financial difficulties being faced by specialty hospitals.
Following the discussion, N. Chandrababu Naidu directed immediate release of ₹500 crore to address part of the outstanding dues. He also suggested that another meeting be convened soon to comprehensively discuss and resolve the issues.
Subsequently, ASHA representatives held talks with Krishna Babu, Principal Secretary of the Health Department. Officials informed that the funds would be released on Tuesday.
Based on these developments, the Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospitals Management Association has decided to restore medical services under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust. ASHA President Dr. Vijay Kumar issued a press statement confirming the decision.
Dr. Vijay Kumar stated that although the funds released do not cover the full dues, the association has resolved to resume cashless services from Tuesday under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, respecting the assurance given by the Chief Minister and considering the state’s financial situation.
He appealed to all hospitals to restart the services without delay to ensure that the public does not face any disruption in accessing medical care.
