OpenAI's latest AI image-generation tool has gone viral for turning everyday photos into stunning Studio Ghibli-style artwork. Powered by the new GPT-4o model, this feature has taken social media by storm, with users sharing AI-generated Ghibli-style portraits of themselves, family members, movie characters, and even memes.  

However, the trend hasn’t come without controversy. While many are amazed by how closely the AI mimics Studio Ghibli’s signature aesthetic, critics are raising concerns about copyright issues. Legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki has long opposed AI in art, and some argue that tools like this could harm human artists by replicating their work too easily.
