AP CM Chandrababu Launches 'Shakti' App for Women's Safety

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in an event held in Markapuram, Prakasam district, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. During the event, he visited stalls set up by DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) women and later interacted with the attendees.

Speaking at the event, Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the coalition government prioritizes women's safety. He warned that “anyone who harms women will face their last day.” He encouraged women to strive for success and serve as an inspiration to others. Naidu also remarked that if women do not earn, men tend to look down upon them.

The Chief Minister announced that the government aims to create 100,000 women entrepreneurs this year. He stated that the DWCRA platform was established to support women’s financial independence.

Chandrababu Naidu also shared a personal anecdote, saying that his political career had prevented him from accumulating wealth, whereas his wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, had built a successful business. “Bhuvaneshwari has grown to the extent that she even provides financial support at home,” he said proudly.

During the Markapuram event, Chandrababu Naidu launched the 'Shakti' app, developed by the police department for enhancing women's security. Additionally, he inaugurated a handloom promotional vehicle aimed at boosting awareness and sales of handloom products. The Chief Minister also launched the e-Vyapari portal delivery service.
