CM Chandrababu Pledges Commitment to Women’s Welfare on Women’s Day

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that celebrating International Women’s Day is not just a tradition but a social responsibility. Extending his greetings to women across Telugu-speaking regions via the social media platform X, he conveyed his best wishes to all women, likening them to mothers and sisters.

He emphasized that since its inception, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has consistently worked towards women’s empowerment. He highlighted various initiatives undertaken by his government, including ensuring women's rights in property, facilitating reservations in education, employment, and politics, and implementing welfare programs that have yielded significant results.

Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that in the recently presented 2025-26 annual budget, the Andhra Pradesh government allocated an unprecedented ₹4,332 crore for women and child welfare, reinforcing its commitment to their well-being. Additionally, under the ‘Deepam 2’ scheme, the government has provided free gas cylinders to 9.01 million women. He also mentioned other welfare measures, such as the NTR Bharosa pensions and the strengthening of Anganwadi centers, aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged women.

The Chief Minister reiterated his firm belief that societal progress is closely linked to women's development. He affirmed the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment.
