Chandrababu Shares Insights on Brother-in-Law Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s Daily Routine
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke at the launch of a world history book written by his brother-in-law, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, at GITAM University in Visakhapatnam. During his speech, Chandrababu Naidu shared several anecdotes about Venkateswara Rao, some of which were previously unknown to many in attendance, eliciting laughter from the audience.
Chandrababu Naidu remarked that Venkateswara Rao had already covered all aspects of the book before he could comment on it. He noted that both of them had learned extensively from former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao. Highlighting Venkateswara Rao’s unexpected turn to writing, Chandrababu Naidu humorously questioned, “Did you really write this world history book?” He praised his brother-in-law for undertaking such a daring task.
Reflecting on Venkateswara Rao’s diverse career, Chandrababu Naidu said, “If you look at his life, he was a doctor but never practiced medicine. However, after becoming a minister, he practiced as a doctor when assigned the health portfolio. Later, he transitioned into filmmaking. His life itself is an example of unpredictability. He served as an MLA five times, was a minister, and also became a member of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.”
Chandrababu Naidu further shared a recent conversation with Venkateswara Rao, describing him as a relaxed and cheerful individual despite facing many challenges. Chandrababu Naidu recalled asking him how he maintained such a positive outlook. In response, Venkateswara Rao reportedly said, “I start my day by playing badminton, then return home to spend time with my grandchildren. Later, I meet my friends.”
Chandrababu Naidu also humorously mentioned that Venkateswara Rao plays cards in the afternoon for about two hours, stating that it helps stimulate his mind. “After that, he happily goes to sleep. Before bedtime, he narrates a story to his grandchildren and then sleeps peacefully. What a wonderful life!” Chandrababu Naidu remarked.
He concluded by commending Venkateswara Rao for his scholarly pursuits, stating, “Despite such a relaxed lifestyle, he has authored five books, all of which were written with great study and dedication.”
