Jagan Has No Right to Comment on Pawan Kalyan: Nadendla Manohar

Minister Nadendla Manohar sharply reacted to the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's remarks about Pawan Kalyan. He criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy, saying that while he had previously declared "Why Not 175?" in elections, he lost his composure when the results yielded only 11 seats. Manohar asserted that opposition status is granted by the people, not by Pawan Kalyan.

He stated that Pawan Kalyan had elaborated on the German governance model but questioned Jagan Mohan Reddy’s qualifications to comment on him. “Jagan deceived the youth and falsely claimed to have provided 4.4 million jobs, yet he lacks the courage to contest in the Graduate MLC elections,” Manohar alleged.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has never spent a single rupee on others in his public life, has no right to speak about Pawan Kalyan,” Manohar remarked. He ridiculed Jagan Mohan Reddy’s demand for opposition leader status, saying that the Legislative Assembly Speaker had already clarified the matter to the public. "Jagan speaks without any sense of propriety. His remarks on Pawan Kalyan have upset many," he added.

Manohar further criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), calling it an organization without structure or legitimacy. He alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy unilaterally declared himself the party’s lifetime president, a move rejected by the Election Commission of India. "Jagan Mohan Reddy lacks even basic political awareness and does not follow the rules," Manohar said.

Defending Pawan Kalyan, Manohar asserted that the Jana Sena Party leader does not change his stance based on being in opposition or in government. He highlighted Pawan Kalyan’s contribution to tenant farmers, claiming that during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, farmer suicides increased, and Pawan Kalyan personally donated ₹5 crore to support affected families. He also mentioned that through the 'Tenant Farmers’ Assurance Meetings,' ₹1 lakh was provided to each affected family, including 24 farmers from Jagan Mohan Reddy’s own constituency, Pulivendula.

Several party leaders, including Konathala Ramakrishna, Lokam Naga Madhavi, Bolisetti Srinivas, Bommedi Nayakar, Arava Sridhar, Patsamatla Dharmaraju, Vamsikrishna, Sundarapu Vijay Kumar, and Nimmaka Jayakrishna, participated in the media briefing.
