Shop Demolished by Authorities After Pro-Pakistan Slogans During India-Pakistan Match
Maharashtra authorities demolished a shop using a bulldozer after its owner allegedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans during the India-Pakistan Champions Trophy match on Sunday. The incident took place in Malvan, Sindhudurg district, where the man reportedly chanted "Pakistan Zindabad" after Indian captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed. A video of the act went viral on social media, prompting the Malvan Municipal Council to take action against his scrap shop.
Shiv Sena leader Nilesh Rane shared a video of the demolition on social media, stating that the authorities had taken action against a "Muslim migrant" for raising anti-India slogans. In his post, he wrote, "Strict action must be taken against this individual. He should be expelled from the district. But first, his scrap business must be destroyed immediately. Thanks to the Malvan Municipal Council and the police for their swift action."
The incident occurred during the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match, leading to tensions in Malvan. Local residents caught two cricket fans who had allegedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans and handed them over to the police. In response to the incident, a bike rally was organized by locals yesterday, demanding strict action against the accused. The municipal authorities then proceeded with the demolition.
