Nellore Breed Cow Sold for ₹40 Crore in Brazil, Enters Guinness World Records

A Nellore breed cow created history at an auction in Brazil, fetching an unprecedented price of $4.8 million (approximately ₹40 crore) and securing a place in the Guinness World Records. The auction took place in Minas Gerais, where a buyer purchased the cow named Viatina-19 for the record-breaking amount. The cow weighs 1,101 kilograms, nearly double the average weight of others in its breed.

Viatina-19, which has previously set multiple records, was recognized for its exceptional muscle structure and rare genetic traits. It has also won the "Miss South America" title in the prestigious "Champions of the World" competition. The cow's embryos are exported worldwide due to its superior genetic lineage.

The Nellore breed, known in India as the Ongole breed, was exported to Brazil in the 1800s. These cows are highly resilient, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, and possess strong immunity, making them highly sought after in the cattle breeding industry.
