Zurich, Switzerland, January 20 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, addressed a gathering of Telugu entrepreneurs and professionals at a Meet and Greet event organized by the Telugu community in Zurich. In a speech marked by pride in his heritage and a forward-looking vision, Chandrababu Naidu celebrated the global success of the Telugu community and outlined ambitious goals for Andhra Pradesh's development.
Pride in Telugu Heritage
Expressing deep pride in his roots, Chandrababu Naidu declared, “It is my fortune to be born into the Telugu community, which has always been a source of inspiration. If there is a rebirth, I wish to be born as a Telugu child again. My heart and soul are dedicated to the progress of our people.” He lauded the contributions of Telugu individuals worldwide, emphasizing their growing influence across industries and regions.
Empowering the Youth and Women
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of empowering youth to aspire for leadership roles, urging them to move beyond job-seeking to job creation. “The foundation we laid for IT and entrepreneurship has positioned Telugus as leaders globally,” he said.
He highlighted his government’s focus on inclusive growth, particularly initiatives aimed at empowering women. These include efforts to increase educational opportunities and introduce 33% reservations for women in colleges and jobs.
Vision for Andhra Pradesh
Chandrababu Naidu shared his plans to make Andhra Pradesh a global hub for technological innovation and sustainable development. “We aim to leverage advancements in artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, and work-from-home opportunities to ensure sustainable growth,” he said, noting how these initiatives could enable women to balance household responsibilities while contributing to the economy.
Reflecting on the success of his earlier tenure, Chandrababu Naidu pointed to transformative projects like Hi-Tech City and his meeting with Microsoft founder Bill Gates, which led to the company's establishment in Hyderabad. He highlighted Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, as a shining example of Telugu excellence.
Vision 2047: Swarna Andhra Pradesh
Looking ahead to India’s centenary of independence in 2047, Chandrababu Naidu unveiled his vision of a “Swarna Andhra Pradesh,” a state that will serve as a global leader in innovation and prosperity. He emphasized the critical role the Telugu diaspora could play in achieving this goal.
“India is on track to become a global economic superpower by 2047, and Telugus will play a pivotal role in this journey. Our community must seize global opportunities while contributing to the growth of our homeland,” he remarked.

Urging the Telugu diaspora to engage actively with the state’s development, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Your expertise and ideas can help us realize our vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh by 2047. Together, let us make Andhra Pradesh a beacon of innovation and prosperity.”
