Complaint lodged against actor Kalyan Ram for denigrating Ashok Chakra

Hyderabad, March 13, 2015: A law student lodged a complaint against actor-producer Kalyan Ram saying that national emblem Ashok Chakra was depicted in a denigrating manner on the title of his last movie 'Patas'. The student, Y. Sridhar of Dishukngar, told police in his complaint that the national emblem Ashok Chakra was depicted on the letter TA in the title 'Patas' violating the laws. Sridhar said he sent a legal notice to Kalyan Ram even before the movie was released but he did not respond to his notice. He asked the police to take action as per the relevant laws. Banjara Hills police , who received the complaint, said they are discussing the issue with legal experts before registering the case.
