Ravichandran Ashwin Announces Retirement from International Cricket
The 38-year-old Ashwin made his Test debut against the West Indies in 2011 and played his first One-Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka in 2010. In 105 Test matches, he scored 3,474 runs and claimed 536 wickets. His batting record includes six centuries and 14 half-centuries. Ashwin took five-wicket hauls 37 times and achieved 10-wicket match hauls on eight occasions in Test cricket.
In ODIs, he played 116 matches, scoring 707 runs and taking 156 wickets. In the T20 format, he participated in 65 matches, securing 72 wickets and scoring 154 runs.
