Four Villages in Andhra Pradesh Win National Awards

Four village panchayats in Andhra Pradesh have received prestigious national awards in recognition of their outstanding performance in various categories. The awards, based on achievements during the 2022-23 period, were announced to honor their exceptional work.

In the category of 'Satisfactory Drinking Water,' Nyayampudi village of Nakkapalli mandal in Anakapalli district was recognized. Bommasamudram village of Irala mandal in Chittoor district won in the 'Healthy Village' category. Muppalla village of Chandarlapadu mandal in NTR district earned the award for 'Social Security,' and Thagarampudi village of Anakapalli district secured recognition in the 'Green and Clean Village' category.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 11 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. The village sarpanches will receive the awards, including a memento and a cash prize of ₹1 crore each, from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
