Farmers have to stop cultivation from May 1:Chandrababu

Hyderabad, Feb 27, 2015: Hardening its stand against the capital city farmers, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that cultivation of all crops will be banned from May 1 , 2015 in the 29 capital city villages falling between Guntur and Vijayawada. April 30 will be the cut off date for all farmers to hand over full possession of their lands to the Capital Region Development Authority, he told reporters in Hyderabad. Farmers will be asked to stop their agricultural activity in the 30,000 acres earmarked for first phase of the capital city construction from May 1. "Under any circumstances, agricultural activity will not be allowed from May 1 in these lands, " he disclosed.
