Chandrababu: Got 25K acres, but I need 12K acres more for capital

Hyderabad, Feb 26, 2015: AP Government has so for accumulated 25,000 acres from farmers through its land pooling exercise for constructing the capital city. Disclosing this to media persons at the AP Secretariat here on Thursday, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the deadline for land pooling will end on Feb 28. The Chief Minister said that about 37,000 acres of land is needed to build the first phase of the core capital and another 12,000 acres would have to be pooled. The core area would include assembly, Secretariat, High Court and other courts , key establishment offices of police and other departments. Chandrababu Naidu said Singapore was chosen to build the capital city as the small country had conceptualized modern plans in urbanization.
