Maha Govt allots Rs.1900 Cr for security to Chatrapati Sivaji statue

Mumbai, Feb 22, 2015: Maharashtra Government has allotted Rs.1900 Cr to provide 24 X 7 Z plus plus security to the 190-ft tall Chatrapati Sivaji statue erected in Arabian Sea. The area in and around the statue will also be converted into a tourist spot. National Security Guards ( NSG ) will also help provide continuous security to the statue with the help of invisible radars and modern bunkers. Government has worked on plans to arrange a secret radar system in an area of 16 hectares in and around the statue 2.6 km away from the Nariman Point. Government has decided to constitute a special team of security force for the purpose with the help of the NSG Commandos.
