Wipro to build data repository for AP

Hyderabad, Feb 19, 2015: Wipro, one of the software giants, will build a database repository for AP Government digitalising the details of all citizens including their social and economic profiles. The repository will be linked to Aadhar numbers enabling the Government to implement welfare schemes in the most efficient and foolproof manner. The database will also integrate the details of all government departments, industries, educational institutions, universities, village development and water facilities to enable information at the touch of a finger. Wipro will build the repository in two phases using Social Mobility Analytics and Cloud ( SMAC) and Big Data providing highest security to the data. AP officials clinched an agreement to this effect with Wipro bosses after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with the company Chairman Ajit Premji at the recent World Economic Forum conference at Davos.
