Former Miss Andhra Pradesh Vijayalakshmi makes suicide bid

Khammam, Feb 6, 2015: Former Miss Andhra Pradesh N.Vijayalakshmi tried to commit suicide at Khammam over a property duel with her brother. Vijayalakshmi came on to the main road at the bus stand here and poured kerosene over her body and tried to immolate. Nearby people have thwarted her attempt and informed police. Police counseled her and later dropped her at her house. Locals said she had a dispute with her brother over property. The dispute reached alarming proportions after the recent death of her mother and father. Last night, her brother and his friends came to her and threatened her over the dispute. According to the neighbours, that was the immediate provocation for her suicide bid.
