KCR ahead of Aamir Khan in CNN-IBN's popular poll
Hyderabad, Jan 15: In a surprise development, Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao is currently one spot ahead of Hindi film actor Aamir Khan, who is followed by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the Indian Army in the ‘Popular Choice’ category of the Indian of The Year — 2014 awards. KCR is ahead of Aamir by 18 per cent more votes. CNN-IBN conducts The Indian of the Year awards. CNN-IBN has introduced the Popular Choice category in its 19th edition of the Indian Of The Year awards. KCR currently is ranked second in the race, behind IPS officer P. Vijayan (1999 batch), who happens to be the Deputy Inspector General of Police (intelligence) of Kerala.
