Air India starts Vijayawada-Delhi direct flights
Vijayawada, Jan 15: As a Sankranti gift, Air India has started a daily direct service between Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada and New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport today. The flight takes off at New Delhi at 6.20 am and after a two hour journey it will touch down at Gannavaram airport. The return flight will take off at 9 am from Gannavaram, according to Air India sources. Members of Parliament Kesineni Nani and Konakalla Narayana formally inaugurated the flights at Gannavaram airport here today. At present, a Delhi-Hyderabad flight connects Vijayawada.
