Chandrababu promotes Vizag as an investment destination

Visakhapatnam, Jan 13: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday made an attempt to promote Visakhapatnam as an investment destination to investors from Singapore investors. Speaking at an interactive session between the visiting Singapore business delegation and local industrialists, the chief minister said there is a need for local investors to network with the visiting Singapore delegation. The idea is to benefit the technological advantage of the industries in Singapore, Chandrababu said. Visakhapatnam industrialists reported said sectors for investment include IT, tourism and education. Stating that the visit is just the beginning, Chandrababu said in the near future there will be daily flights between Singapore and Visakhapatnam. He also said that his government is expected to launch its e-biz platform in February to enable potential investors to apply online and get their clearances in a time bound manner.
