Ravulapalem: Murder attempt on financier, locals gather on hearing gunshot sound
Ambedkar Konaseema, September 5: Unidentified persons tried to kill financier G. Aditya Reddy with a country-made revolver and bombs in Ravulapalem on Sunday night. According to police, a heated argument broke between Aditya and a few persons. In a fit of rage, one of them fired at the financier but the bullet missed him.
On hearing the sound during the firing, locals in large number came in support of Aditya. They ran away on seeing scores of people walking towards them leaving a bag containing country-made bombs.
After receiving information, the police arrived and recovered the bag. Cops found a mobile phone jammer and two bombs in the bag. A case was registered based on the complaint of financier. The police are suspecting that they came with a pre-plan to kill Aditya. But the financier did not reveal the names of persons, who he had altercation, to police. Investigation is on.
