Singer Sravana Bhargavi lands in controversy over Annamayya keerthana
However, successors of Annamayya raised objection over the manner the video was made. A mobile recording between an Annamayya successor and Bhargavi was telecasted by a Telugu news channel. She denied doing anything wrong which bring insult to Hindu saint Annamayya in the video.
The singer told them to lodge a complaint with the YouTube so that video song can be brought down. “If YouTube removes my video, then people will watch on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter,” she stated.
Even, a media reporter spoke to her about concern raised by successors of Annamayya. But Bhargavi told him that she is busy with her child and cannot talk more on the issue.
