Romantic Baba arrested, sent for medical check up

Prodduturu, Dec 25, 2014: A fake baba, who masqueraded as God-man and misbehaved with women at Prodduturu of Kadapa district, has been taken into custody and produced in court on Wednesday. The court had given him judicial remand till Jan 7. However, he was sent for medical examination as police are made to believe that the Baba, who became famous as Romantic Baba , is mentally unsound. Three followers of the fake God-man , who campaigned on his behalf saying he has miracles, were also arrested and sent on remand. Police are gripped with fear that he may attack them as he is mentally unsound. "He is being guarded by a posse of constables," a police official said.
