Gold worth Rs. 5.72 Cr seized, two arrested

Nalgonda, Dec 23, 2014: Vigilance officials seized unaccounted gold worth Rs. 5. 72 Cr from two persons in Nalgonda district this morning. Officials , who were on a routine check up duties at APPO boarder at Nallabanda Gudem in Kodada Mandalam, checked a vehicle coming from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad and were shocked to see huge quantity of gold. When questioned about the source of gold, the duo failed to give a proper reply. The officials then seized the gold and took the two persons into custody. The car, in which they were travelling, was also seized by the officials. Police are questioning them.
