Is Rajini magic on the wane?

Chennai, Dec 22, 2014: Is the super star Rajinikanth's magic on the wane in Tamil Nadu? This question comes to one's mind going by the poor collections for his latest entertainer 'Lingaa' in the state. Theater owners in Tamil Nadu are slated to meet the super star later today in Chennai to seek compensation for the huge losses they have suffered by purchasing the film 'Lingaa'. Theater owners, who purchased the rights for exhibiting the movie paying anything between Rs. 4 Cr to 10 Cr in Kanyakumari and Tirunalveli areas, were aghast at the meager collections of Rs.1.5 Cr. The theater owners are seeking compensation from the super star . It is not yet known how Rajinikanth will react to their demand. Meanwhile, the buyers say in most places in the state , the collections are going down day by day giving a big shock to the buyers. Fearing a backlash from the Rajini fans, the buyers have also sought police protection during their meeting with Rajini at Raghavendra Kalyana Mantapam at Kodambbakkam.
