Film and TV comedian Venu attacked

Hyderabad, Dec 21: A group of persons belonging to the Goud community Sunday attacked film and television comedian Venu in Film Nagar area of Hyderabad, according to reports. Latest reports said Venu had recently performed a skit in a TV show on the Goud community and people of that community are said to have found that skit offensive. It is said that representatives of the community had lodged a complaint against the comedian at the Osmania University police station. Claiming that the comedian has insulted their community, some people belonging to that community attacked him. He has rushed to Apollo hospital, reports said. His condition is said to be out of danger, reports said.
