2 students injured in explosion at Chirala

Hyderabad, Dec 20, 2014: Two students were injured in an explosion at Odarevu near Chirala of Prakasam district today. The explosion took place when the students of Kasturba Gandi school were playing near the school and some of them took out stones from a heap of stones lying there casually. Police and people think that it could be a bomb explosion and the stony heap must have some bombs hidden inside it by somebody. Police opined that one of the bombs kept there must have been activated when the students unknowingly touched the heap and took out stones from it. The local police said bomb disposal squads are arriving from Guntur and Ongole to find out if there are any more bombs or explosive materiel inside the heap of stones. "We will take up full investigation only after their arrival, " said a police officer who visited the spot.
