Kendra Sahitya Academy Award for Rachapalem Chandrasekhara Reddy

New Delhi, Dec 19, 2014: Well known Telugu writer and critic Rachapalem Chandrasekhara Reddy has been selected for the prestigious Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in Telugu language for the year 2014. The Centre has announced this in a press release issued in New Delhi today. Reacting to the announcement, Chandrasekhara Reddy said he never expected this award. "It is very much unexpected. With the award, my responsibility has increased. I will strive to produce more literary works concerning Rayalaseema," he said He won the award for his book 'Mana Navalalu, Mana Kathanikalu' , according to the press release issued by the Centre. Rachapalem Chandrasekhara Reddy hails from Kadapa district. As a critic and author, he has penned several literary works on many a topic including Rayalaseema literary movement, Dalit life, Andhra Kavitvam and Gurajada Kathanikalu.
