Pink Day-Hospitals to get 51,998 bed sheets ; Harish, Lakshma Reddy to launch program
Hyderabad, May.7: All the government hospitals across the state will turn pink with Ministers, MPs, MLAs and other leaders will distribute 51,998 bed sheets to mark Pink Day on behalf of health department on May 8. Health wing has prepared a plan to distribute the bedsheets among the hospitals for upkeep of the beds in the hospitals. Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will launch the program formally at Siddipet Government |Area Hospital on May 8 during morning hours. Other ministers, MPs and MLAs will participate in the same program in their respective districts involving people in a big way. Pink day will involve people to distribute bed sheets among the hospitals in the state.
The present bed capacity in the hospitals is 10737 and on Monday as many as 51,998 bed sheets will be distributed in the districts. They comprise 19,974 pink, 19974 white and 6,025 pale blue and 6,025 dark blue bed sheets will be distributed in the government hospitals.
