CM KCR vows to regularize 24000 electricity contract staff
Hyderabad, May.4: Chief Minister KChandrasekhar Rao today announced sops to electricity contract employees to regularize them and offer promotions.
At a meeting with electricity employees at Pragathi Bhavan here, the chief minister announced that 24000 contract employees will be regularized soon. This he announced amid applause from the huge gathering. Indeed we will regularize the contract staff and will also fill up another 16000 posts in the electricity department that has 27000 permanent staff KCR said. With this Telangana Electricity department will become a big organization with 75000 employees, he said.
He also directed to give promotions to the eligible staff and complete the process in two months. From state formation day of June the employees should get increased salaries of their promotions he said. The State government is determined to keep its promises and welfare is its motto KCR stated. At the same time he also asked them to work to produce more power to reach out the target of giving 24 hour power to agriculture. Our aim is to irrigate one crore acres in future and the concerned officials should work in tandem to reach that goal KCR said. He also expressed pleasure at the 5.5 lakh hectares paddy produce that was never happened in the history of Telangana.
