Shabbir wants all-party meeting on Land Act

Hyderabad, April.27 : Leader of the Opposition  in the  Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir  today demanded that the State government call an all-party  meeting  to suggest  amendments to the  Central LARR Act  2013  in the back ground of the  Union government  rejecting  the  changes in the Act and endorsed by the State legislatures.

Addressing  the media at the CLP office today,  Shabbir said the State government had strength in the Assembly and got  it passed; but  the Centre has  struck down the same and sent it back for further changes. The State government has once again failed on the issue of  provision of  recruitment for Singareni Employees on compassionate grounds and regularisation of  Out-sourcing and  contract  employees.

He also said the State government was “deliberately” delaying the irrigation works with the excuse of redesigning, relocation and re-engineering and blaming the Congress for the delay. He also alleged that the government failed to get all benefits under State Bifurcation  Act  and trying to divert the public attention with publicity blitzkrieg. He also charged the government with  diverting  the budgetary allocations of all irrigation projects to its pet programs of Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha.

On the Osmania University centenary celebrations, Shabbir Ali lamented that the State government failed to recognise the contribution of the Nizam’s family for the growth of  education and the the Osmania University.’

Congress leaders Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, MLC and Akula Lalitha, MLC were present.
