Anushka all praise for Rajamouli’s patience!
Anushka and Prabhas are the two artistes who could speak about Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Bahubali’, which was brought-in in two parts. For these two, the film is a fantastic journey with the maverick director which is almost a life-changing experience. Of them Anushka had some memorable and mesmerising experiences with the film maker. We are well aware that Anushka is a fabulous actress and she lives in a character and do it with total dedication.
However, such an actress took at least 17 retakes for a small shot. Here the point is not that she took those many retakes but it is the cool mentality of Rajamouli who tried to explain her about the expression he wanted in her face and body language. He again and again explained the little nuances in the shot till Anushka gives the correct expression. Anushka says, ‘I have seen a director who did not lose his cool and I believe he maintains the same cool even if an artiste takes 100 retakes.’
We read in the websites, magazines and newspapers that some directors who lost their temper slapped the artistes for not giving the subtle expressions in certain scenes. But the case of Rajamouli is entirely different. He has such a patience to explain his point of expression. “Rajamouli keeps on explaining you till you really understands what he deserves and do it,” says Anushka.
