Bahubali mania grips cinegoers worldwide even before its release on friday

Hyderabad, April.26 : Cinegoers are in the grip of an unprecedented "Bahubali Mania" all over the country, especially in the two Telugu States of Andhra Pradesh and the neighbouring Kannada state of Karnataka, 48-hours before the release of the second part of the mythological thriller --- Bahubbali 2 : The Conclusion.

While the movie is slated for release on Friday, some theatres in the city are organizing special preview shows on Thursday night. The authorities have permitted the theatres to run six shows daily  in Andhra Pradesh, permission has been granted five shows only in Telangana State. The unusual hype surrounding the movie--- which is produced in two parts and has taken five years in all for completing their shooting at an estimated cost of over Rs.200 cores each -- has caught the imagination of the cinegoers all over the world.

Studded with top star cast like Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah, Ramya Krishna and Satyaraj, the first part of the movie, Bahubali :The beginning,  which was released about two years backs has taken the cine world by storm and has beaten all records as for as box office collections are concerned. It also garnered tremendous appreciation from critics for its settings, cinematography, costumes etc. The part two of the movie, which is produced in multi-languages ,  is also expected to surpass all records as  it is being released in as many as 6500  theatres throughout the country including 900 theatres in both the Telugu states. The movie is being released in 1100 theatres all over USA and 156 theatres in Canada.

Following the pre-release publicity of the movie for the past many weeks, Bahubali 2 has generated an unprecedented craze among the cinegoers. As a result all the theatres were besieged by cinegoers since early morning on Wednesday when the advance booking for the movie opened. Massive crowds in serpentine queues, even braving the scorching summer heat, waited before the theatres to lay their hands on the tickets, which were already sold off for the first few days. Taking advantage of the mad rush for tickets, some theatre owners have hiked the prices threefold. In fat reports suggested in theatres in neighbouring Bengaluru  tickets were sold for Rs.600, while some die hard movie goers were prepared to buy the tickets even for Rs.1000.

Taking into view past experience during such film releases, the police have made elaborate arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents. They also kept a close watch on unscrupulous elements trying to exploit the situation to make a fast buck. Telangana Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav has warned the theatre owners not to hike the ticket prices and also desist from running more number of shows than the permissible five shows per day.
