Bates to choreograph action scenes for ‘Saaho’
Though there are many expert technicians in the Telugu states, the Telugu film industry, continue to import technicians from other states till a few years ago. Now, the entire world has become very tiny with the availability of internet and we don’t even go to a computer or a laptop or tablet to browse internet as it is available on your smart phone itself. In this backdrop, the upcoming Telugu directors are choosing to import technicians across the globe. Very recently we heard that Nithin had brought in a Hollywood actor Dan Bilzerian on the board for his upcoming film LIE (Love, Intelligence, Enmity). Dan is an American poker player and also stunt master, who is seen in some of the Hollywood films including Lone Survivor, The Equalizer, Cat Run 2 and Extraction among others.
Now Sujeeth, director of Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Saaho’ had roped in international stuntman Kenny Bates who worked for films such as Die Hard and Transformers. Sujeeth says, ‘We have finalised some locations in Abu Dhabi and some other places in Europe for the shooting of ‘Saaho’. The action scenes in the film would be done under the supervision and action choreography by Kenny Bates. By the end of May, we will take up the regular shooting of Prabhas’ next movie. The film is a trilingual and would be brought out simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. We are planning to spend a major part of the budget on the choreography of action scenes. The film would be a commercial entertainer. However, there will be some surprise elements which have to be seen on the screen itself.’
