Kishan Reddy deplores KCR’s belligerent move on Muslim Quota issue
Hyderabad, April.13: BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy today said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was belittling the Union government.
Kishan Reddy reacted on the reported comment of the Chief Miniser, who had said he would provide 12% reservation to Muslims. His government would also approach the Supreme Court in support of its move if the Centre failed to respond on our request, the Chief Minister had said.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, the BJP leader said his party would oppose religion-based reservations. “If necessary, we will organize dharnas with the support of other political parties at New Delhi”, he said. Criticizing the TRS government, Kishan Reddy said the State government was trying to cross its limits to bring reservations for Muslims. The proposed move of the government would render gross injustice to the BC classes in the State, he said.
Kishan Reddy also said his party would launch an agitation with the support of people in this regard and added that they would oppose any move of the State government providing religion-based reservations.
