My role is on par with the hero: Rakul
Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in as the heroine opposite Naga Chaitanya in his upcoming movie ‘Rarandoy Veduka Chooddam’. Of course, Rakul Preet Singh played opposite many of the star heroes in Tollywood and had almost completed around a dozen movies. This time, Rakul is doing in a romantic family entertainer and Rakul is playing in a different and new character as a village belle. Though she is an innocent village girl, her characterisation would be stubborn and it is quite lovable.
In a recent interview, Rakul revealed that Kalyan Krishna had narrated the story and she was very much impressed at the first hearing itself. She expressed confidence that the character would be her career best so far. Stating that the story and her character would be plot-centric and the director etched her character almost on par with the hero’s role.
She further says, ‘So far, almost all the roles I have done so far in my career are very nice and strong. However, none of them have good foundation in the subject and most of them are like glamour doll characters and they are not plot-centric. Usually, the hero’s characters would be plot-centric and ours will have some sub-plot and will have a very less importance. But in this film, both our characters would be equally important.’ Let us wait and see whether Rakul’s findings are correct or not once the film had hit the screens. The film is being directed by Kalyan Krishna and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna on the banner of Annapurna Studios. The film is most likely to hit the screens in May.
