AIYF Flays TS Govt for meagre Budget for Youth Affairs

Hyderabad, March.14: Telangana State Council of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) has expressed unhappiness over the Telangana State Government totally ignoring the youth in the Budget presented to the Legislature on Monday.

In a statement here today, State President M Anil Kumar and General Secretary B Ramulu flayed the Government for allocating less than one per cent of the Budget for Youth who constituted 40 per cent of the population, and not taking any measures for development of youth.  They regretted that the Government has allocated a meager Rs.49.36 crore for Youth services and Sports.  Compared to last year budget, the allocation this year was reduced by Rs.18 crore for Sports Authority of Telangana.  The Chief Minister’s earlier assurances for construction of stadium and Sports Academies in each Assembly constituency was not reflected in the Budget, they bemoaned.   They demanded the Government to increase the Budget for Youth Affairs and Sports.
