JP Objects to Ministers, MPs, MLAs Campaign in MLC Polls

Hyderabad, March.5 : Alleging that the political parties were encroaching upon  the voices of apolitical intellectuals, Lok Satta founder Dr Jaya Prakash Narayan expressed objection for participation of  Central and State  Ministers, MLAs and MPs in the campaign for the Graduate and Teachers’ Constituency MLC elections tobeheldonMarch9..

In a note, JP alleged that instead of taking steps to see that the political parties have to allow the sincere, intellectuals and efficient people to enter into Legislative Houses, the political parties were encroaching  on Council elections. The attitude of some political parties has turned dangerous to the democracy by thinking that  politics were confined to individuals and families. It is not proper for the  political parties to warn voters of  serious repercussionsin casetheyfailedtocast their vote to their candidates.

He said that the Lok Satta party was extending its support to the candidates in Uttarandhra, Rayalaseema, Nellore, Prakasham districts teachers, graduate MLC elections. The Lok Satta Andhra Pradesh chief Bheeshetti took a decision after deliberations with the party leaders to whom the Lok Satta has to extend its support to the candidates. He said that the Lok Satta party decided to extend its support to VV Ramanamurthy (Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakha graduates constituency), Dr Geyanand (Ananthapuram, Kadapa, Kurnool (West Rayalaseema) graduates constituency), Pochamreddy Subbareddy (Ananthapuram, Kadapa, Kurnool (West Rayalaseema) teachers constituency, Dr Chadalawada Sucharitha (Chittoor, Nellore, Prakasham districts teachers constituency).
