Guv, Telugu CMs, others mourn Shiv Shankar

Hyderabad, Feb.27 : AP and Telangana Governor ESL Narsimhan, Chief Ministers of Telugu States Nara Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrasekhar Rao, State BJP president K Laxman, MLA, TPCC leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha, Ponnala Laxmaiah, YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and others expressed grief over the demise of former Union minister and governor P. Shiv Shankar and conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.

In a message, Governor Narasimhan expressed sorrow on the passing away of Shiva Sankar. The Governor recalled the yeoman services rendered by  Shiv Sankar as Union Minister and Governor of Sikkim and Kerala. “His memory will be cherished for his immense contribution to the country”, he stated.
KCR orders official funeral for son of soil

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in a message, recalled services rendered by Shiv Shankar as a BC leader, Union Minister, Judge and Governor. KCR instructed the officials to make arrangements for the official funeral of the departed leader, who happens to be from Telangana region. The CM has asked Chief Secretary S P Singh to take care of the arrangements.
State BJP chief Dr K Lakshman, MLA, expressed his shock over the demise of Shiv Shankar and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members. He recalled that Shiv Shankar had worked hard for the uplift of downtrodden and weaker sections. He was a legal luminary and influential national leader and his death leaves a void in the country.
