Job, EPF pension services thru’ Post Offices, Dattatraya signs MoU with PO

Hyderabad, Feb.12: Union Labour & Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatraya today said Post Offices will offer two more services, including employment registration through National Career Service and Jeevan Pamaan facility through in terms of digital life certificates with Aadhar link to pensioners of EPFO.

The Union minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chief Post Master General Elisha at Abids head post office for two more services.

Speaking on the occasion, Dattatraya said the post offices working as facility centers during BJP-led NDA regime are going to offer better services for people. Advising the rural youth not to fall a prey to middlemen cheating them for jobs, he asked them to register online through NCS portal and also offline for various job opportunities. Advent of technology has helped to reduce corruption and it is time for transparent services.

Stating that the government was for providing more jobs and employment to the youth, he said GDP increased to 7.5 per cent from 7 per cent and employment growth rate by one per cent.  As many as 3.75 lakh people and 14 lakh managements have so far registered in NCS portal, which has guided about 3.80 lakh jobs for jobs. Dattatraya expressed hope that the NCS portal will prove handy and the youth make use of it for jobs and employment opportunities. “Our Government has already entrusted them to offer banking services and also passport services”, he claimed.

Postal wing Secretary BV Sudhakar said NCS will be expanded to 95 head post offices and expand to other areas in future.
